The nursing home service reports in a press release that a patient who lived in their home passed away on Thursday.
The patient was transferred from the hospital to the municipal covid-19 treatment unit (KCB) after being diagnosed with infection.
A total of eight patients have died from the coronavirus at KCB, a treatment service run by the Oslo Municipality Agency for Aging.
– The Municipality of Oslo has established this special offer for patients living at home to relieve hospitals in treating infected patients. There are now ten patients admitted here and all the patients have been diagnosed with covid-19 prior to admission, says agency director Helge Jagmann at the Agency for Nursing Home.
On Friday, a death was also reported at Akershus University Hospital (Ahus).
On Thursday, a corona-infected patient died at the hospital. So far, the hospital has 21 deaths related to coronary heart disease.
Ahus’ communications chief Geir Boye Lindhjem confirms Romerikes Blad’s death, but does not want to provide further information.
