Nav: 100,000 people can ignore the AAP letter identification

On Sunday October 4, Nav sent a digital letter to 100,000 people stating that their AAP had been extended for six months, but the letter should not have been sent.

In a press release, Nav states that in the letter it might appear that some would get an extended AAP (work authorization allowance) for up to six months starting October 4.

– You are wrong. The quality of the letter was not assured before it was sent, and I apologize. It should be clear that decisions have been extended by six months for many AAP recipients, says Director of Labor and Social Welfare Hans Christian Holte.

The extension of the AAP period is a temporary rule change that has been decided by the Storting in relation to the situation of the pandemic.

The additional months apply, among other things, to those who receive AAP and are undergoing clarification regarding employment or disability benefits, are in the process of establishing their own business, or are undergoing work trials or escalation to a time job full.
