Since Thursday, 24 people in Värmland have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, now the county is well above the Norwegian border.

More and more cases of infection are being reported in Värmland, and now travel to Sweden hangs by a thin red thread, Glomdalen writes.

A potential border region red list can already be announced at a press conference with top initial councils Tuesday morning.

As of Thursday of last week, up to 24 people have been confirmed to be infected with covid-19. Four people were confirmed infected on Friday, 13 people on Saturday and seven people on Sunday, figures from the Värmland Region show, according to Glomdalen.

According to calculations made by SVT Nyheter Värmland, Värmland was already across the Norwegian border, with 21 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. When seven other people were confirmed to be infected on Sunday, it could be a joke for Swedish travel.

– The increase in the number of cases until Friday, Saturday and Sunday means that Värmland is now well above the border to which Norway relates when they include regions in the red list. In the past two weeks, Värmland has had just over 25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the Norwegian border runs to 20 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, writes SVT Nyheter Värmland.
