There was a lovely, magical and fun atmosphere at the H3 Arena in Fornebu on Saturday night.
The theme of the night was “Adventure”, and the eight celebrities gave their all in the fight to maintain their place in the dance competition.
In the end, it was Nate Kahungu (24) who was sharp, fast.
“I’ve gotten to know wonderful people and will miss each and every one of them,” Nate said when the decision was made.
Surprised
Several were surprised that it was Michael Andreassen and Nate who ended up in a dance duel after tonight’s performances. This past Saturday, Michael was at the top of the judges ‘result list, while Nate has also been the judges’ favorite multiple times this fall.
Nate also admits that he was a bit surprised that he smoked out of the competition.
– Yes, I was a bit surprised. Is it allowed to say? I have received good comments. But I’m not a professional dancer, and if viewers think I don’t deserve it, that’s fine, Nate tells tv2.no.
He emphasizes that he doesn’t think he deserves the spot more than the other dance celebrities.
Now you are looking forward to getting back to everyday life and the plan for Saturday night is ready.
– I’m going to be shit, laughs the 24-year-old.
Moved to tears
The climax of the night on the floor came when Birgit Skarstein and her dance partner Philip Raabe touched everyone with their dance, inspired by the story of The Wizard of Oz.
Judge Trine Dehli Cleve struggled to hold back tears when she gave her opinion:
– I hardly know what to say. I think it was so lovely!
Skarstein clearly appreciated what he heard.
– I’m completely overwhelmed. We have worked a lot and it is great that they see the technique, he told the presenters.
Birgit scored 40 points and a maximum score, reigning supreme on the judges’ results list tonight. At the other extreme we find Michael Andreassen and his partner Ewa Trela, who scored 25 points.
Andreassen danced dressed as Captain Sabretooth, and for the occasion had borrowed the royal costume of themselves Captain Sabretooth, Terje Formoe.
– It’s always great to see you on the court, but the pass was not at its best, said Judge Merete Lingjærde.
Last Saturday it was Synnøve Skarbø (49) who had to leave the competition after being out in the first dance duel of the season with Siri Kristiansen (42).
Disease
This week has been marked by many illnesses at dance camp, which has made preparations difficult for several of the couples. Up to six out of eight couples were affected by what was likely a communicable disease or food poisoning earlier in the week.

This has led to a bit less training for some, but all had good faith that they would be ready for Saturday’s broadcast.
– This is how sometimes, sometimes unforeseen things happen. Ewa will probably have to adapt the choreography a bit, we also always get something, Michael Andreassen told tv2.no on Wednesday.
