Deputy Health Director Espen Rostrup Nakstad says Oslo is introducing good measures and there is no doubt that we are heading for a third wave of infection.
Councilor Raymond Johansen (Labor Party) said we are in the third wave when he closed the capital lower on Monday.
The new rules in Oslo:
These are the new crown measures that are applied in the municipality of Oslo:
* Prohibition of more than two visitors in private homes.
* Fully digital teaching, i.e. homeschooling, is being introduced in upper secondary and upper secondary schools throughout Oslo.
* All kindergartens and activity schools are closed during Easter. Children of parents with socially critical jobs will receive an offer if necessary.
* Homeschool for 5. – 7. steps for all schools in the Grorud, Stovner, Alna, Bjerke, Gamle Oslo, Grünerløkka and Søndre Nordstrand districts. These districts have had the greatest infection pressure over time and therefore particularly strict measures are required here.
* Children in vulnerable situations in life and children with parents with socially critical functions will receive an adapted offer of physical presence.
* Otherwise, the municipality continues with the strict measures that apply in Oslo.

– The level of infection in Norway in recent days has been higher than at the beginning of the year when we reached the peak of wave number two. There is no doubt that we are now full throttle into the third wave of infection. It is due to the new mutated British virus and is undoubtedly more difficult to treat than the number one infection wave a year ago, Nakstad told NTB.
Oslo closes upper secondary schools and upper secondary schools, as well as fifth through seventh grades in individual districts with high infection.
– These are well-founded, specific, necessary and proportionate measures. It could reverse the development of the infection in Oslo if they are followed by the inhabitants, says Nakstad.
