The church is open

The Gjerdrum church is open from 10 am to 10 pm during the New Years weekend. The church guardian, Dagrun Agnete Ødegaard, reports to VG.

– There are candles lit here and a good place to come, says Ødegaard. In the church there are priests, other church employees and volunteers.

– There have not been many, but there are some here now, says Ødegaard, who believes that the need to visit the church will increase as the seriousness diminishes.

– We invite silence, candle lighting, fellowship and offers of conversation, says Ødegaard.
