There is great tension in the debate between Vice President Mike Pence and Democratic hopeful Kamala Harris. – The debate will be the most important of its kind since the vice-presidential debates began 40 years ago. Americans want to take a fresh look at the debate, knowing that one of them can easily become president, writes John Hudak, deputy chair of the Brookings Institution think tank.
“It’s going to be a difficult night for Mike Pence,” Karthik Ganapathy, political strategist at MVMT Communications, told The Guardian.
“In many ways, this outbreak is a metaphor for the Trump administration’s handling of the virus,” Ganapathy said.
It may be easy to forget, with President Trump who has held the vast majority of press conferences on the coronavirus situation in the country, but it is actually Mike Pence who has been the head of the ‘coronavirus task force’ of the White House, the crisis team working on the virus.

Just before midnight Norwegian time, President Donald Trump posted a new video greeting Twitter. He told me about the treatment he received and that now he felt much better. In addition, he spoke about the experimental drug Regeneron, with which he was treated.

Infection measures

The debate takes place at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and begins at 3 o’clock on Thursday, Norwegian time.
