Norsk Industri believes that it is natural for them to have close contact with the authorities, but acknowledges that various text messages should have been written differently.
Aftenposten wrote last week about close dialogue between the ministry and Norwegian industry before the government in June granted foreign workers exemption from the 10-day quarantine this fall.
According to the newspaper, both the Norwegian Health Directorate and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health warned that the change in quarantine regulations would lead to a high risk of import infection.
In a press release, the organization writes that there has been close contact, and that due to the high pace and that people in the government apparatus were busy in internal meetings all day, part of the regular correspondence had to be done through messages of text.
– We agreed on this. Norsk Industri is aware that text messages are public and accessible, and has nothing to hide in the case. However, we recognize that various text messages should have been spelled differently. We note that this in itself has been the subject of much unnecessary attention, they write in the press release.
The opposition has criticized the close SMS dialogue between Secretary of State Anne Grethe Erlandsen (H) at the Ministry of Health and Care Services and Knut Sunde, who is director of the department for industry and industrial policy in Norwegian industry.
