A 45-year-old woman died after a traffic accident in Stordal on Friday. All three children were in the car when the accident occurred.
The Møre og Romsdal police report in a press release Sunday afternoon that the woman has died.
The accident occurred on Friday and the woman died Saturday from her injuries.
Police reported the accident on Twitter at 3:41 p.m. on Friday afternoon. The accident, which according to Sunnmørsposten was a collision accident involving two cars, occurred on County Road 640, Stordalsvegen. One person was sitting in one car and four in the other.
– The road was closed for many hours afterwards. The accident group from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration was on the scene, and then we carried out an investigation with forensic investigations and witness questioning, says police operations manager Per Åge Ferstad.
He himself was at work when the police were notified of the accident, but cannot say anything about how it happened.
The three children of the woman, who were also in the car, are injured. Two of them, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, were slightly injured and were admitted to Ålesund Hospital, police say.
A seven-year-old boy is seriously injured, but clinically stable, police write in the press release. He’s at St. Olav’s Hospital.
