Mediations take place between Yrkestrafikkforbundet (YTS) and Fellesforbundet by the employees and the counterparties Norges Lastebileierforbund and NHO Logistikk og Transport by the employer for the freight contract and the transport contract, respectively.
Fellesforbundet has announced the resignation of 688 employees, while YTS has announced that 322 of its members will go on strike if the employer does not submit an offer to which they can say yes.
If there is a strike, the transport of bulk goods such as flour, gas, glass and concrete is included. There will also be general cargo that includes driving to the stores.
– One consequence of a strike will be to stop the dragging of flour from the mills. Then it doesn’t take long before it shows up on store shelves and in bakeries, says bargaining leader Linda Jæger at the Professional Traffic Association in a press release.
In negotiations, the union demands, among other things, an increase in the minimum wage, an increase in low wage supplements and a general coverage of the wage level in the industry.
