More than 50 people have been diagnosed with coronary heart disease at Apalløkka ungdomsskole in Oslo. The school itself states this on its website.
It is one of the largest outbreaks in a school in the country.
There must be employees and students among those infected.
The district superintendent has quarantined 14 of 15 classes, the school says. These must now be tested for coronaviruses.

Unknown source of infection
There are just over 400 students and around 50 employees at Apalløkka school. The school is located in the Grorud district.
Corona infection was first detected at the school on Monday and Tuesday of last week. No later than today, new cases of infection were confirmed.
The school’s principal, Elisabeth Dullum, says they don’t know the cause of the outbreak.
Nor is he the district superior.
– The pressure of the infection is so high that I can’t answer that either, says Karoline Harding, district doctor in Grorud.
She says the district has used resources from other parts of the city to conduct effective infection detection.
– Now we have enough people to do the work ahead of us, says Harding.
FHI director Frode Forland says the Apalløkka outbreak is large in a school context.
– It affects both those infected and many others who end up in quarantine.
He says they help the district do good infection screening.
High infection pressure
Grorud is the Oslo district with the highest infection pressure right now, figures from the Oslo municipality show.
Principal Dullum says not many people at the school have symptoms.
– We have a fantastic collaboration with the district chief physician and the infection monitoring team. I also have to brag about the students, parents, and staff. Although we are better when we are in school, many good things are also obtained in such a situation. There has been a lot of applause, Dullum tells NRK.
The school closed last Wednesday and will remain closed until Friday, December 4.
All stages will receive registration at home during this period.
All upper secondary schools in Oslo are already at a red level.
– We have home school every day that is followed every hour. In fact, infected employees teach too. It says a bit about the responsibility they feel for student learning both academically and socially, Dullum tells NRK.
FAU satisfied
Dullum says students are called by staff every day. This is to take care of the mental health of the students.
FAU leader Ove Møllerhagen says parents are very happy with the school’s efforts lately.
– The school’s management and staff have worked very well. They are wonderfully skilled the whole gang. We are lucky to have such great school-related resources, he says.
