Four people were diagnosed with coronary heart disease in Ørsta on Saturday. The source of infection must be from another part of the country and the outbreak must not be related to previous outbreaks, according to the Ørsta municipality.
The consequence is that more schoolchildren in the area have been quarantined.
The sixth and seventh graders at Dalane School in Ørsta are in quarantine, in addition to the teachers. More people who have been to soccer practice should also stay home.
Shame on the students
At Volda Upper Secondary School, around 70 pupils and seven teachers have been quarantined. This includes a first class, a math group, and a language group. Chancellor Trond Hjelseth says fortunately there are only four school days left before Christmas break.
– I’m sorry for those who have been quarantined, but it’s gratifying that they end the quarantine period at Christmas. And then we must by all means hope that no one else is infected, says Hjelseth.
The court also framed
Also, several people who were on trial at the Søre Sunnmøre District Court in Volda this week have been quarantined. According to the Ørsta municipality, the source of infection arrived by plane and bus in early December.
There is currently extensive infection tracking work. Close contacts will be tested and the test station will also be open on Sunday.
– We work as fast as we can, says the mayor of Volda, Sølvi Dimmen.
