Qualified final pop artist Jorn received a chat from NRK after he came out on Facebook yesterday and encouraged fans at home and abroad to vote for him during tonight’s broadcast.

The artist gave a detailed description of how outsiders could register with NRK to vote for him.

NRK says they don’t want the systematic mobilization of fan bases abroad, and shortly after Dagbladet requested a comment on the post, it was removed.

– Has been shot down

“We have been in dialogue with Jorn, and the post has been removed,” NRK Entertainment editor-in-chief Eirik Sandberg Ingstad tells Dagbladet.

Jorn participates with the song “Faith Bloody Faith”, and got the last final ticket in the so-called wild card round earlier this week.

According to Ingstad, the reason it is possible to vote for MGP contributions from abroad is that Norwegians abroad should have the opportunity to participate in the vote.

– The experience of the past is that votes from abroad are small and not decisive, he tells Dagbladet.

– Do not fear the consequences

– In order to vote, you must create a Norwegian NRK user, he explains. According to Ingstad, the image of the traffic and therefore the voices will be monitored in real time.

– And we have a good and complete preparation to handle significant deviations from the normal traffic landscape, says Ingstad.

– We do not want the mobilization of fan bases abroad. But we are not afraid of the consequences related to him, he says.

He does not want to comment on how NRK will handle the situation if large numbers of votes come from abroad.

– We have a good and complete preparation to handle significant deviations from the normal traffic landscape. For security reasons, I don’t want to go into detail about what this specifically entails, says the editor-in-chief.

Dagbladet has so far failed to contact Jorn. The case is being updated.
