Meteorologist: – There is more to come

[ad_1]

At Vervarslinga in Tromsø this morning you could see 15 centimeters of fresh snow. Now there is 127 cm of snow on the top of Tromsøya.

– There are big differences in Troms today. Tromsø, Malangen and Senja have received a lot of snow, while the indoor climate has been pleasant, says state meteorologist Geir Bøyum.

– The snow is unevenly distributed.

– I promise to complain

Bøyum doesn’t exactly have good news coming to drum dorms that just lack paths and green trees.

– There is more to come. Until tomorrow morning, we can probably expect 10 to 15 centimeters of snow. On Tuesday it can also reach 10-12 centimeters. There is plenty to have in mid-May. It is very special

– So is it okay to complain now?

– Yes it is.

Low pressure in the Barents Sea

The snowfall is due to the combination of high pressure on Iceland and low pressure located east of the Barents Sea, explains meteorologist Bøyum. It provides winds from the north throughout the country. A small consolation for people in the north is that it is not exactly full summer in the south.

– In fact, the snow has also reached more places to the south. In Bergen, for example, it has snowed tonight.
