It was in January that Melina Johnsen pleaded guilty to various crimes. On Tuesday he received the verdict:

She has been sentenced to 90 days in prison and must pay a fine of 45,000. In addition, you get a four-year suspension period to obtain a driver’s license.

The prison sentence is unconditional, which means that Johnsen must serve his sentence in prison.

Johnsen testified in court that he works as an influencer on social media and that he earns between 30,000 and 50,000 per month. The amount of the fine is based on the monthly salary.

The court characterized the trip as highly irresponsible and ruthless, and considered it fortunate that the trip ended without accidents.

Johnsen does not want to comment on the VG verdict. After the verdict was rendered, she posted the following on her own Instagram story:

– Thanks to all who support me and send love. It means a lot! I don’t talk so much during the day and I retire with a short break. We listen, we take care of you and everyone around you for so long.

It is not known whether Johnsen will appeal the sentence.

– You have taken time to think and will use it. An appeal will always carry an additional burden, and of course there will be an element in the decision you must make within the next 14 days, Johnsen’s defender Cecilie Nakstad tells VG.

– What do you think of the punishment?

– I think it’s strict, write in a text message.

– He acted in anger and panic

Johnsen appeared in Oslo District Court along with his lawyer Nakstad on Tuesday afternoon.

When the judge read all five counts, he pleaded guilty to all counts.

Since this is a matter of confession, Johnsen had to explain himself. It started with the point of charge dealing with bodily harm.

Among other things, Johnsen has been convicted of kicking a man in the crotch at a fast food restaurant in Oslo at 02:20 on 23 August last year. Police have a video of the incident.

He said there was a fight involving some of his friends.

– Without reaction I ran out and mixed, I acted with anger and panic. So I pushed and kicked, he said.

Had taken cocaine

The judge asked a series of questions about the car trip that took place an hour after the incident at the fast food restaurant.

– I made a stupid choice. He played well, if I may say so. So we drove, Johnsen explained.

– I never fully looked at the speedometer, it was fast, it answered the question of what speed it maintained during the trip.

Before the trip, he had been to a party.

When asked what he had ingested, Johnsen replied that he had drunk a few units and had a few strips of cocaine.

– He was affected, he was. And when I saw the police, I was probably acting in a panic.

– shit

During parts of the trip, there was a passenger in the car. VG has previously written that he should have got out of the car when he didn’t want to sit down anymore and received minor injuries.

Johnsen said in court that he remembered the passenger jumping out of the car.

– You said you tried to stop me, which is silly. He just jumped, and that’s because he didn’t want the police to take him away.

Advocate Nakstad asked Johnsen to share how she felt when these incidents occurred last year.

– At that time I was in a shitty environment, it was a superficial environment, with many people who took a lot of drugs. So it was a really bad bubble. It wasn’t good, you made bad decisions. I have distanced myself from all the friends I had and have become closer to my family.

He explained that he subsequently received a “wake-up call.”

– This is not good, it has come so far. It has not been fun living with him. I am very sorry for what I have done.

They asked for 100 days in jail

The prosecution requested 100 days of unconditional prison for Johnsen.

– I think it’s too strict, said Johnsen.

Nakstad went to court with his views on the prosecution’s proposal.

– I think the starting point for the prosecution has been significantly too strict, and I think the confession discount should be somewhat higher. They’ve settled for 15 percent, I think it should be 20 percent, Nakstad said.

The case was filed as a confession case, which means Johnsen will receive a penalty discount.

Nakstad said the point of the prosecution dealing with personal injury should have minimal meaning for the sentence.

– She interferes at the end, because she perceives it so that her friend is attacked, she says and adds that it hardly seems that the man fired by Johnsen gets a reaction to the video that was shown in court.
