The restaurant in Brumunddal closed by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.
During an inspection Tuesday, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority decided to shut down McDonald’s in Brumunddal, Ringsaker Blad writes.
“Closed for cleaning the restaurant”
When the newspaper visited the restaurant at 1 pm Tuesday, the doors were closed.
“We are closed for cleaning the restaurant,” read a note on the door.
– Waiting for the report
The online newspaper has contacted the Norwegian Food Safety Authority centrally, confirming that the restaurant is closed.
– I can confirm that the restaurant was closed after the inspection, but I cannot comment on the reason before the report is available, press officer Lars Skjegstad tells Nettavisen.
The online newspaper has been in contact with McDonald’s.
– Why did you have to close?
– We are waiting for the report, but there are a number of points that need to be improved, says communications manager Veronika Skagestad to Nettavisen.
– Very serious
– What is it about?
– I can’t get into that.
– How is it for you to have to close a restaurant that day?
– We take this very seriously and will do whatever it takes to reopen as soon as possible, Skagestad tells Nettavisen.
