Nice-Matin and La Dépêche write that the man is said to have said he wanted to “massacre a selected patient” to achieve justice.

The chosen one in question was the man behind the terrorist attack in Nice in late October, he is said to have told police afterwards.

It was VG who mentioned the case for the first time.

The man with the knife was arrested in Val de Marne. The main man police say is behind the Nice attack, 21-year-old Brahim Issaoui from Tunisia, remains hospitalized after being shot several times by police.

The terrorist attack in late October took place inside the Notre-Dame church in Nice.

One of the victims, a 60-year-old woman, had her head cut off, according to the prosecution. A 55-year-old church servant received a deep cut to his throat and also died from the injuries. Furthermore, a Brazilian woman in her 40s died from her injuries shortly after the attack.

Police have said Issaoui shouted “Allahu akbar” when he was arrested.

The attack in Nice came just days after a teacher had his head cut off in an attack on the outskirts of Paris, after showing cartoons of Muhammad in connection with teaching on freedom of expression.
