Just after eight thirty on Thursday night, the police announced that they had moved with several patrol cars to the area around Oslo S.

At 7:50 p.m. we received a message about a man threatening another man on an open street near Oslo S. The background must have been a discussion about an electric scooter, operations manager Gjermund Stokkli tells TV 2.

It’s unclear what the conflict was about beyond this.

– According to information from witnesses and videos of the place, it appears as if he has a weapon, says Stokkli.

No shots were fired and no one was injured.

– We have control over the man who was threatened and we have questioned him. He said there was an argument about an electric scooter and that the man he was arguing with pulled out a gun, threatened him, and fled the scene, the operations manager says.

The victim is a man in his 50s. Police are now searching for the perpetrator, who is described as an adult male.

– We are actively looking for this person. We are serious about people threatening each other with firearms on the street, says Stokkli.
