Man slipped 700 meters down the mountainside and flew to the hospital

The southeast police district announced Saturday afternoon that a rescue operation had started after a man in his 50s fell / slipped about 700 meters down a slope.

The patient is conscious and airlifted to the hospital, police report. The extent of the damage is currently unclear.

Rescue helicopters and ground personnel were deployed to the rescue.

At 1:00 p.m., the air ambulance took off with the patient.

– Rescuers at the scene report that it is difficult on the ski slope because of the Gaustatoppen gutters. Request that skiers exercise caution, reports Southeastern Police District.
