A man in his 50s was trapped under a large rock at Kollsnes in Øygarden.
At 4 p.m., the 110 exchange reported that a man had received a larger stone on his arm and was trapped.
– A person has had his arm clenched under a rather large rock, in a dock area northwest of the processing plant in Kollsnes, says the service commander at plant 110, Ole Jakob Hartvigsen.
– Emergency services are on the scene now. Now we will try to free the person, using lifting equipment.
– Will use lifting pads
Hartvigsen says they still don’t know the reason for the incident.
– We will use air lift pads to lift the stone and then secure the stone.
The fire service was notified of the incident at 3:28 p.m.

Transported ashore on a fireboat
At 4.30pm, West Police District Operations Manager Hans Eirik Thue says the man is 50 years old and was with his son when the accident occurred.
– The man has now been released and transported in a fireboat to the ambulance, due to the rough terrain at the site. You will then be transferred to the hospital.
Thue claims that all emergency services, as well as the air ambulance, are on site.
– The injury is not life-threatening and the man has been conscious the entire time. The accident is private in nature and has nothing to do with the Kollsnes facility, he says.
