A man in his 50s is seriously injured and has been taken to hospital after a serious episode of violence in an apartment in Kroken on Monday night.
– We received a message about the noise of an apartment and we moved. The message was that there were loud screams and screams. When we got to the place, we could hear screaming and other noises from the apartment in question and then we decided to take in, says Roy-Tore Meyer, operations manager for Tromsø Police.
It turned out, among other things, that a glass gallery was broken with the help of a garden chair. In the broken gallery, the police found a seriously injured man, also in his 50s.
The man has been taken to hospital for treatment. The alleged perpetrator has also been sent for a medical check-up.
– In connection with the arrest, both pepper spray and a so-called tazer, an electroshock weapon, were used, Meyer tells iTromsø.
According to Meyer, both men are former acquaintances of the police.
