It was 9:57 PM on Monday when the police were notified of a riot in an apartment outside Ibsens in Bergen. Shortly after, it was also reported that flames had been seen inside the apartment.

Bergensavisen writes that the deceased is a 39-year-old man. According to the newspaper, he must be known to the police before, among other things, for violations of drug laws, the Traffic Law and minor violent crimes. He had previously also been subject to mandatory mental health care, the newspaper writes.
In September, 39-year-old Tor Henning Dalen died after being shot by the police during a police operation in Bolkesjø in Telemark. It is said that he struggled with mental illness. Two of the officials involved in the situation have the status of suspects. The investigation of the case continues.
