Look what the trucker had posted on the windshield

– We have a camera in front of the control station and there we took the photo that clearly shows that the driver had an open PC on the dash of the truck. But when he stopped at the checkpoint, he collapsed.

This is what Kent Heggeriset says in the Norwegian Public Highway Administration.

Earlier today, they were in control at the Husum control station in Løten. And there was no doubt that this Romanian train car had to be stopped and overhauled.

– The driver admitted that the laptop had been open. After all, it’s well marked with pre-control, so you also had a good chance to fold it before stopping, Heggeriset says.

You can report

– Do you know if it was also used?

– No, we don’t have a chance to verify. But of course such objects have nothing to do on the board. I also hope and think the driver understood. He had his first trip to Norway. Hopefully he won’t do this again, says Heggeriset.

It ended with a driving ban for the driver.

– We record all these incidents. If this happens repeatedly, we report it to the police, says Heggeriset, who adds that the inspectors look very strange in the field.

Horror Numbers: One in four was banned!

20,000 crowns charged for overload

– yeah It is not unusual for large objects on the windshield. But it usually goes away when we stop them. Many are quick enough to take it off when they realize they will be arrested.

When objects go beyond sight, there is no prayer. There will be a driving ban until they are removed.

During this control, 90 heavy vehicles passed the checkpoint, 14 of which were more closely reviewed. In total, there were nine driving bans. Two received an overcharge charge, for one of them this fee reached NOK 20,000.

A driver was also reported for violation of driving rules and rest time. There was also a ban on driving the car here, as the tachograph lacked approval.
