Jürgen Klopp saw his team have good control of Chelsea, but did not like what he saw when those in blue were reduced to ten players.
CHELSEA – LIVERPOOL 0-2:
Chelsea were on par with Liverpool for 45 minutes, before Andreas Christensen received a direct red card.
It gave Liverpool the extra spaces they needed, and the reigning league champions were completely superior after the break.
The London hosts had a nightmarish ending in the first half when Christensen took the life of Sadio Mané as the back man and was eventually awarded the red card.
Head judge Paul Tierney first gave the Dane the yellow card, before turning red after viewing the video footage.
Tierney’s decision is said to have been greeted with jubilation among Liverpool’s substitutes at Stamford Bridge.
That should have reacted to Klopp, according to several journalists at the scene.

Fabinho acted as a substitute
Klopp arrived at the settlement with only one fresh midfielder. Joe Gomez, Billy Koumetio and Joel Matip lost the match through injuries and Fabinho had to substitute in central defense alongside Virgil van Dijk.
The Brazilian was clearly identified as an unsafe card by Chelsea, and Timo Werner was repeatedly put into one-on-one situations against the 26-year-old.
However, the midfield anchor did a very good first half, repeatedly preventing Chelsea’s new star forward thanks to good timing in the innings.
The first part was not a round of fireworks, but the Anfield guests had a great opportunity to take the lead in the 14th minute.

Thiago enters from the break
Frank Lampard’s team took a break at 0-0, while Klopp pitched Thiago from the start in the second half.
He was out of the game as his new teammates at the top combined brilliantly after 50 minutes.
Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah combined brilliantly on the right, before former teammate Sadio Mané found himself inside the area.
The Senegalese crushed his goalkeeper and led the red dress in the lead.

The visitors completely took over the game after the goal, and just four minutes later the lead was doubled, well helped by Chelsea’s last defense.
Kepa Arrizabalaga should only find Jorginho with a simple pass, but rather hit Mané, who was the first defender.
