The Premier League club is in the midst of a midfield crisis but is said to have received positive news after Wednesday’s investigation into the Brazilian.
In the Champions League match against Midtjylland, Fabinho had to come out with what appeared to be a stress injury. According to the Daily Mail, the club has feared that the Brazilian could be out for up to six months as a result of what happened.
Now, however, the newspaper writes that Fabinho’s thigh injury is not as serious as feared. Liverpool’s medical team feared that it was a total tear in a group of thigh muscles, but it is likely that it is a partial tear.

– Three games
This came up during an investigation on Wednesday, writes The Mirror.
This means that, in the best case scenario, Fabinho can return to the field after the national team’s break in November and will therefore only miss three matches.
Liverpool already have Virgil van Dijk out with a long-term injury, after the Dutchman injured his cruciate ligament in the encounter with Everton earlier this fall.
Van Dijk may be out for the rest of the season due to injury.
This means Liverpool is in a plug crisis. In addition to Fabinho and van Dijk, Joel Matip is also injured, meaning that Joe Gomez is the only senior stopper who is injury free at the moment.

Matip is close to being ready to play again, but the Daily Mail writes that Liverpool will not take advantage to use the Cameroonian in the meeting with West Ham this weekend.
Williams and Phillips
In the meeting with Midtjylland, coach Jürgen Klopp had to bring in the young Rhys Williams, who only recently played level five in English football.

In the meeting with West Ham, it is now speculated that Nat Phillips, 23, may have the opportunity in central defense, as a partner of Gomez.
Philips considers itself a slightly more experienced alternative to Williams. The former was loaned to Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga last season.
