What results come first from the presidential elections?

More than 100 million early votes have been cast in this year’s US presidential elections, which are closer to tripling from previous elections. Many more Democrats than Republicans are expected to have voted ahead. Therefore, the order results posted on will be a very important indicator of how much the situation may change throughout the night.

Publish Election Day Voting Results First:

Alaska, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island

Publish early voting results first:

Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas

It doesn’t post results in any particular order:

Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

I’m not sure which results will be published first:

Kentucky, Massachusetts, Nevada

In Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah and Washington, voting by mail is exclusively or almost exclusively. In some states, the practice may vary from county to county.

Not all early votes have reached the polling station on Election Day. Many states allow mail-in ballots to come in later as long as they are postmarked for Election Day.
