– Leave the car!

On Tuesday morning, the Eastern Police District declares that they have been notified of several traffic accidents and therefore asks everyone to drive in accordance with the conditions. Police also encourage everyone to switch to winter tires if conditions call for it.

The Southeastern Police District comes in with the same clear call after last night’s snowfall.

– Leave the car!

– If you live in an area where snow is expected and you don’t have winter tires on your car, leave it stationary. If you’ve switched to winter tires, it’s important to drive in accordance with the conditions, COO Erik Gunnerød tells Dagbladet.

Gunnerød also emphasizes that this is the first snowfall of the season and therefore asks motorists to take it easy.

The traffic is flowing

The traffic operator in Vegtrafikksentralen, Andreas Larsen, tells Dagbladet that the traffic is flowing well on Tuesday morning.

– Last night something snowed in the highest areas. Especially in the upper parts of Buskerud, Telemark and Indre Agder. There has also been some snow in lower places towards Kongsberg. In fact, it has also snowed some on the E18 north of Drammen, but now there is mostly black asphalt. At least in the direction of Oslo, says the traffic operator in Vegtrafikksentralen, Andreas Larsen, to Dagbladet.

– It seems that the traffic flows well in the morning. There has been some snow in places where snow is expected. But along the E18 and E39 it is empty and traffic is flowing well.

– HE GOES CRAZY: Corona’s situation may be too much for many. For Espen from Tromsø, it rolled over when he was shoveling snow.

State

On Monday, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute announced that there could be up to 20 centimeters of snow in various high areas, such as the mountainous areas in western Norway and the inner parts of Telemark on Tuesday.

Therefore, they sent a yellow warning. The hazard warning applies to Østfold, Oslo, Akershus, Buskerud, Oppland and Hedmark.

“The higher you are on the ground, the more likely you will get less degrees and rainfall,” service meteorologist Martin Granerød told Dagbladet on Monday.
