There was disturbance on board the plane when a female passenger received a voice instruction from one of the flight attendants. The incident occurred in the United States aboard a Delta plane prior to departure.

The woman was wearing a mask, but not properly. It was under the chin and not over the mouth and nose, as it should actually be used. When a flight attendant on board the passenger asked the passenger to put the bandage on correctly, the woman became aggressive.

According to a video posted by, among others, BBC journalist Suzanne Kianpour, the woman reacts by approaching the flight attendant before hitting her in the face.

– You shouldn’t have touched me. You pushed me! the woman yells, at the same time that the man she was traveling with, sticks his finger in the face of the flight attendant.

In the background, passengers can be heard yelling that he is too close to the stewardess’s face and that he cannot hit people.

A BBC reporter, Katty Kay, says according to News.com.au, that police then boarded the plane and picked up the two passengers.

– Delta handled the incident appropriately. Why do people get on airplanes every day if you know not to follow safety rules ?, he writes on Twitter.

The airline says the passengers were ejected from the plane because they refused to follow infection control rules.

Neither the flight attendant nor the deported couple have commented on the case.
