It was just before 2 o’clock on Sunday that police reported the stabbing that took place in connection with a fight in Torshovdalen a quarter earlier.
– We were notified of the fight and moved to the site. When we arrived, we found a man who had been stabbed by something sharp and who was treated by an ambulance at the scene, operations manager Sven Christian Lie in the Oslo Police District tells NTB.
Police were unaware of the circumstances surrounding the fighting. The injured person was sent to the Ullevål hospital. The injuries were described as serious on Sunday, but the condition is stable.

Several police patrols were located in search of four dark-skinned men who left the site after the fighting. At 2.30, one of the four was arrested. By then, the police had also seized a knife and a bloody T-shirt.
Two hours later, the other three were also arrested. Everyone is between the ages of 17-21, Lie reports to NRK, and the four are also in connection with a robbery in central Oslo on Saturday night.
– There was a person to whom four young people robbed articles and money. The offender suffered no physical harm, but was threatened. The incident was captured on camera and photos show these four possibly the same ones who were also involved in stabbing a knife in Torshovdalen, Lie says.
Various serious robberies
Oslo police are recalling a weekend in which several youth groups have committed serious crimes in the capital, weapons are often used. In particular, Sunday night was very busy.
– We have had many tasks, and several of them very serious, with several serious robberies. And where there have been several together on the actions, where weapons of various types have been used. Several of those arrested are under the age of 18. The youngest, just 15 years old, says police lawyer Anne-Karine Veiding in the Oslo police district in front of NRK.
– From where this comes I find it a bit confusing, but that there is an increase of young people who commit serious crimes, we cannot hide under a chair, says Veiding.
According to the police lawyer, they have especially noticed an increase in serious robberies and severe violence in recent months.
– There are often more in groups. This is related to both gangs and outside of the gang concept, but they happen together, Veiding says.
