The man in his 30s who was arrested Thursday and charged in connection with the disappearance of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen is released.
The 30-year-old man who was arrested in the Lørenskog case on Thursday night was released by police on Saturday afternoon. This is what the Eastern Police District writes in a press release.
– Several interrogations were carried out last Saturday afternoon, where the man explained himself to the police. He has been released because the police do not believe there is a danger of loss of evidence, prosecutor Haris Hrenovica said in a press release.
The man is still charged in the case.
For the sake of the ongoing investigation, police on Saturday night have no further comment to make, according to the press release.
The man’s defender, Dag Svensson, told VG on Friday that his client denies the criminal charges.
On Saturday, the accused was questioned. VG was present when lawyer Dag Svensson left Kripo’s office in Brynseng in Oslo around 17:30. Svensson didn’t want to speak to VG, he picked up the car and drove to Kripos’s garage.
Aim for murder
On Thursday, police arrested and charged a 30-year-old Romerike resident in connection with the disappearance of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen.
According to VG’s information, he was arrested in Oslo, while civil police carried out investigations at an address in eastern Norway overnight.
Police wrote in a press release Friday morning that the man was charged with murder or complicity in the murder of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen.
According to the police, the man has a relationship with Tom Hagen, and the police are familiar with his IT and cryptocurrency experience.

– We can confirm that the arrest was accelerated based on the decision of the Court of Appeals yesterday. The reason for acceleration is the danger of loss. Police cannot rule out further arrests, prosecutor Haris Hrenovica said in the press release.
– It was a question. I am planning to meet with the client today, but it is unclear whether or not he will be questioned today. Svensson told VG on Friday that he feels the charges are absurd.
The lawyer did not know if the client had been taken into custody.
“Cooperate with the police,” said Svensson, who on Friday said nothing about what his client had explained to him.

On Thursday, the murder investigation against Tom Hagen (70) took an unexpected turn: the eidsivating court of law decided that he should be released.
The Court of Appeals determined that there was no reasonable reason to suspect that Hagen was killed.
On Friday afternoon, Hagen was released.
Although the Court of Appeals does not believe there is reasonable cause for suspicion, the police deny Hagen’s access to the house or cabin in Kvitfjell. Police have decided to conduct a third party search call on both properties. It was NRK who first mentioned the case.
That makes Hagens defender Svein Holden respond:
– I’m not sure if the police are allowed to do this this way, while Tom Hagen is a suspect in their eyes. This is a question that we are about to investigate. This is a legal problem, Holden told VG.
