(Tottenham 3-0 Leeds) For the 13th time this season, Harry Kane (27) and Heung-Min Son (28) scored after combining with each other. Hence, they broke a Premier League record and posted a victory against Leeds.
It was Leeds who started the game the best, and if Marcelo Bielsa’s men had been more efficient, the game could have been completely different. Patrick Bamford had the best chance, when from twenty feet away and completely unmarked he headed outside.
But where Bamford and the other Leeds players failed, Tottenham’s Harry Kane / Heung-Min Son duo proved just how deadly effective they can be.

Kane opened the goal tally for 2021 from the penalty spot after Steven Bergwijn was brought down by Ezgjan Alioski. Leeds became Kanes’ 30th opposing team in the Premier League on Saturday.
He has scored against 30.
Not long after, Kane was on the move again when he took out a man and searched for his favorite partner in the attack: Heung-Min Son.
With a well beaten post, he found the South Korean who put the ball safely into the goal.

It was the 100th goal by the Spurs favorite for the club, and with Kane as director and Son finishing, the duo equaled the Premier League record Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton set for Blackburn in the 1994/95 season.
– Scoring 100 goals for a team is great and I am very proud. It’s a great way to start the new year, says Son in an interview with BT Sport after the game.
Then the forward duo combined 13 times in one season. That number has already been reached by the Tottenham duo, with half the season still to go.
– We work hard and have done it for a long time. I’m kind of sorry I can’t serve you (Kane), says Son, who adds that Kane only knows where he wants to be.
– Sometimes it’s telepathic. Other times we talk about it, Son says.

Kane e Son are also close to becoming the most combined duo of all time in the Premier League, a record held by Chelsea legends Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba at the time of this writing. They were served 38 times.
Kane / Son has already done it 34 times.
José Mourinho has thus had two of the most dangerous pairs. He was coach of Lampard and Drogba at Chelsea, and now has Kane e Son at Tottenham. The Portuguese was obviously very happy.
– “Sonny” and Harry are doing very special things together this season, says Mourinho.
– They understand each other well, he adds.

They also participated in the score of 3-0, but then it was Toby Alderweireld who received the service. Son’s corner was greeted by Alderweireld, who stabbed the ball into goal.
