It was windy and raining when protesters gathered to protest. According to fact.no, it was the first demonstration of its kind in Norway. So far, the opposition has been vocal in groups on Facebook.

– We want to point out incorrect information that the population has received through the media and that the government clearly uses in a political game, writes Nader Eide at the Facebook event of the demonstration.

Eide is listed as the organizer and notes that similar demonstrations have taken place in England, Germany, Australia and the United States.

The protesters believe that infection control measures are too intrusive compared to the number of deaths related to coronary and infected infections. The hope was to gather 1,000 protesters, but they did not succeed.

– The goal is to wake up as many people as possible. It does not matter if it is 4, 400, 4,000 or 40,000. The most important thing is that we use freedom of expression and opinion, Eide told fact.no before the demonstration.
