Joshua King is ready for Everton

Joshua King was a highly wanted man on the day of the deadline. The Bournemouth striker was in turn relevant to Southampton, Fulham and Everton.

In the end, it was the Merseyside club that got the longest straw. That was confirmed by Everton on Monday night on Twitter.

Early Monday, it became clear that King would not end up in Southampton, reportedly due to the Norwegian’s wage demands.

Eventually it emerged that both Everton and Fulham had received offers accepted by the Norwegian from Bournemouth. Therefore, it was up to the Romsås boy himself. In the end, the choice fell on Everton, who under Carlo Ancelotti are fighting to play in Europe next season.

This is a contract that runs throughout the season. The club does not say how much they have paid for the forward.

– I think this is what it takes to “jumpstart” King’s career. You will probably need some time before you get back to your best. It’s been really down for a while. After the transfer from Manchester United a year ago, most things have gone wrong for him. He moved to Bournemouth, became a reserve on the national team and now needed a bright spot.

– I have faith in this transition, says TV 2 soccer expert Jesper Mathisen at TV 2’s Deadline Day studio.
