A recent CNN Election Day poll shows that the coronavirus ranks only third in major cases.
At 11 p.m., the first poll on Election Day came from CNN. It has interviewed people who have voted and is historically much more accurate than pre-election polls. The new poll shows what issues voters put on top.
While the coronavirus has completely dominated the agenda, it is still the economy that is considered by far the most important issue for most voters. 34 percent of voters say they think the economy is the most important issue.

Second, 21 percent say “race issues” are the most important. Only in third place do we find the coronavirus with 18 percent of voters who think it is the most important.
Crime was most important to 11 percent of voters, and 11 percent say health policy is the most important.
When asked if voters believe it is more important to rebuild the economy or stop the coronavirus, 42 percent of voters believe the economy, while 52 percent say the coronavirus should be stopped.

President Donald Trump has received much criticism for handling the coronavirus, especially from candidate Joe Biden. However, according to voters, it is a dead race whether the driving is good or not.
When asked if handling the coronavirus is good or bad, 48 percent say good, compared to 51 percent say bad.
Wearing masks has also been a hot topic. Many have thought that it should be imposed on everyone. When asked if voters see it as a personal choice or more as a decision for the good of the people, it is 30 percent and 68 percent, respectively.
A classic question is whether voters think they have better finances than four years ago. 41 percent say yes, 38 percent say the same, and 20 percent say it is worse than four years ago.
Up to 55 percent of voters say they have experienced financial challenges as a result of the coronavirus, compared to 44 percent who say they have not.

Registration in new voters
There is also a strong increase in new voters. 13 percent of voters report voting for the first time. That’s 10 percent more than four years ago.
There has also been a lot of debate about how the election will be conducted and Donald Trump has expressed mistrust as to whether the election will be conducted in a good way.
Up to 86 percent of voters say they have some or great faith that the votes will be counted correctly.
There are also unusually few voters who claim to have decided in the last week of the election. Only four percent claim to have decided in the last week.
CNN also asked voters what quality is most important in choosing a presidential candidate.
- Strong leader: 32 percent.
- Good judgment: 24 percent.
- He cares about people like me: 21 percent.
- It can unite the country – 19 percent.
Voters were also asked why they voted for Biden or Trump. If it was the most decisive vote for the candidate or against the other candidate.
Trump voters:
- For Trump: 81 percent
- Against Biden: 14 percent
Biden voters:
- For Biden: 64 percent
- Against Trump: 31 percent
