“I am so happy that I am not part of the culture in the Oslo Labor Party,” says Jan Bøhler.

HAMMERSBORG (Nettavisen): It’s up there, isn’t it? With plugs. Yes it is! So lively, says the photographer.

We meet brand new central party artist Jan Bøhler (68) at a climbing park in central Oslo on a frosty Thursday in November.

When September turned into October, it struck like a bombshell that the Labor politician, perhaps best known for his beating heart for Groruddalen, announced his transfer to the Center Party (Sp).

– Warm in the shirt

– Now it has been five or six weeks since the transition was known. Do you sometimes forget?

– No, not anymore, he laughs.

– I feel very good, now I have warmed up with the shirt as an artist of the central game. That is natural to me, that is.

The news came after weeks of internal unrest in the Oslo Labor Party, which destroyed Bøhler, and where he still murmurs so much that the public is engaged in personal struggle, most recently after Espen Barth-Eide was neglected. On November 24, the final configuration will be ready.

Reactions to Bøhler’s election were swift, but in words we rarely hear: “Fuck betray” was the first reaction from a former colleague from the Oslo Labor Party.

– They wanted to hurt me and hit me.

– Several people in the Labor Party criticized him harshly when he resigned. How have the reactions been these weeks?

– There has been huge support and sympathy for the few Oslo Labor Party leaders who used insults and proposed things that they thought might hurt and hit me. People reacted very strongly, strangers came up to me on the street and said I shouldn’t care, says Bøhler.

– I have not done that either, so I have done very well. I understand that people may regret that I am no longer in the Labor Party, but most people, both there and elsewhere, have wished me luck and took my word for it when I said that I want us to “divorce as friends” . brews the most energetic 68-year-old man in the Storting.

Jan Bøhler creates anger in the Labor Party after the split

– Don’t bother to bother me

Daily training helps you stay focused:

There are some in the Oslo Labor Party who have been working and who I don’t bother to worry about.

No apologies

– Have you received any apology from the interested parties?

– No, not how I registered. But I have not bothered to read everything they have been doing, I do not know what they have said over and over again on social media. They have to take care of it themselves.

– It has not calmed down in any way in the Oslo Labor Party. Are you worried about what will happen next?

– Not at all. I’m really glad I’m not involved in that. It doesn’t look good, and through the insults against me and other things that have happened, they have confirmed that it is an environment that I no longer want to be a part of.

– I feel very good now, I can concentrate on the issues that I have constantly worked on and I can work without taking into account internal intrigues and other things.

– A good heart is essential

– What do you put in an “environment that you don’t want to be part of”?

– It is an environment with, among other things, insults, which express attitudes that are not good. Human characteristics are the most important thing to me, regardless of party affiliation. Having a good heart for each other is crucial for me, says Bøhler thoughtfully.

– According to a recent Oslo poll, you are in the Storting in 2021 for the Oslo Center Party, if it holds. what do you think about it?

– It’s very nice to see that there are opportunities. I have noticed on the street that many have told me that they understand well why I did what I did and that they want me to represent them at the Storting. I live and live like them, they recognize themselves in me and care about what I have defended. They don’t care too much about the party I’m for, they just know me. Then I will be very happy if it can have an effect on both the elections and the opinion polls, so even if it is a long race, I am optimistic.

Full fight: – Many are surprised

There is all-out fighting in the Oslo Labor Party after former State Minister Espen Barth Eide was ousted from a secure parliamentary seat on Sunday and Kamzy Gunaratnam finished in fourth place.

– There are many of us in the Oslo Labor Party who are shocked. The nominating committee has not taken into account the organization of the party. We want Barth Eide and Kamzy. A majority in the party have clearly said this, and have not taken it into account, Hasle Ap’s local team leader Mads Andreas Danielsen told NRK on Monday.

The death causes him so much that “this must be cleaned up.”

– Several teammates have changed sides

– Several in the Labor Party, including Tor-Erik Rødberg Larsen, follow him and report on the transition to Sp?

– Yes it is! It seems nice to me, but I haven’t done any recruiting because I don’t think it’s natural or appropriate, but some have followed it and it’s really nice, because then I’ve brought some good friends with me too.

In various opinion polls, Sp has sniffed Labor on the neck, and the question arises: Can SP leader Trygve Slagsvold Vedum challenge Jonas Gahr Støre?

Silence on the prime minister’s favorite

– But who do you want as Prime Minister, Vedum or Støre?

– I worry about problems, not people. So now the focus is on running a good election campaign, then negotiations come. I won’t interfere with that, but Trygve and I have a lot of fun together and have a lot of contact during the day. So I have to say that I thrive very well with Trygve and then I have a good relationship with Jonas, which I have from before. I have had no problem with it.

– Do you talk to Trygve every day?

– Yes! Several times a day. We are very cool and talking with our feet, we get inspired and put ourselves in a good mood. It is very nice to have someone as interested and present as Trygve.

– My roommate says I am like a schoolboy who will start in 1st grade.

– But after many decades in the Labor Party, you can wake up and think “wow, am I in the Center Party?”

– No, not really, and that says a bit that I made the right decision. My roommate says I have new energy, it’s like a schoolboy who has to start first grade every day, that I’m at the forefront in a different way. So I made the right decision.

“So we have to ask you, will you take Trygve with you to training or …?”

– He says he wants to, but he lags a little behind, laughs Bøhler.

– It was in Groruddalen right away and hung a bit on a bracket, but there could have been more. He’s so good at talking to people that he has to focus on it. Then I start training and talking to people, the animated politician happily ends.
