Nordland police reported Wednesday morning that there was a mix of landslides and landslides at Mosjøen in Nordland.

– The avalanche is estimated at 150 meters wide and 500 meters long. A vacation home has been removed from the collapse. It is fully working and being spent on resources, said operations manager Mads Bernhoft initially in the Nordland police district.

All emergency services, Seaking, ambulance helicopters and volunteers were called.

Police confirmed that there were no people in the home, nor that they had received any reports that anyone was in the area when the landslide occurred.

More than ten houses in the area were evacuated, and by helicopter, when the road was closed.

Fear further landslides

Merete Bredesen Pedersen and her daughter Andrine Pedersen are close neighbors to the collapse site, and she says it was pretty scary to be this close to the collapse.

– It was huge. We know we live in an area where there may be landslides, but it becomes more real when these things happen, Bredesen Pedersen tells TV 2.

– Are you afraid of more landslides?

– Yes you are. I am afraid this is the beginning of several landslides. It is scary to see the neighboring house lying in the river, considering that we live nearby, she says.

When the landslide disappeared, Mom was at work, while Andrine and his girlfriend were at home. The girlfriend saw messages on Twitter saying that the landslides had approached and went to see how big it was.

It was picked up by helicopter

Eventually, the police blocked a larger area, and Andrine was left alone at home.

“I had to be picked up by helicopter,” the 17-year-old told TV 2.

– How was it?

– I have to admit, it was a little exciting, she says.

At the time of writing, the two of them are sitting at a family member’s house waiting to get to their own home.

– We have not heard anything from anyone and we know very little. We have to sit here until we get more information, ”she says.

All emergency services, Seaking, ambulance helicopters and volunteers were called. Following the advice of an on-site geologist, it was decided to further expand the area and several houses are now being evacuated.

– The area is uncertain

Arild Berentzen, leader of the Internet Red Cross Relief Corps, said they were on the scene with twelve from the local team.

– We are at the meeting point now, but we have been asked to wait because the area is still not safe. There are still little races going on, Berentzen said.

The Red Cross also posed with a dog patrol,
