– It was aggressive – VG

Tuesday night is the premiere of the fifth season of “Farmen kjendis”, where twelve famous people have moved to the Lundereid farm in Kragerø. Here they will run the farm as they did a hundred years ago.

It is not unknown that there are heated discussions and drama on the farm, and it does not seem to be an exception this season.

In one of the trailers currently being seen on the television screen, it is clear that there is a great atmosphere between ex-footballer John Arne Riise and radio and comedian journalist Espen Thoresen.

For VG, both confirm that it is based on what has previously been called the “SMS case”.

It was in 2005 that Riise ended up on the cover of VG, after she sent the same text message to several famous women and asked them out.

Later that year, Espen Thoresen took to the stage during the Lost Weekend festival in Askøy on the outskirts of Bergen. Here she handed over Riise’s phone number in front of several thousand viewers and encouraged them to send her an SMS.

The case received a lot of attention and Riise considered going to court against Thoresen.

The “SMS case” was recently revived when influencer and author Linnéa Myhre on the VG podcast “Give me all the details” admitted that she was among those joking and joking at Riise’s expense right now.

Myhre apologized and went flat for the incident.

I had never known

According to tradition, the participants in “Farmen kjendis” do not know what other celebrities they should be with before coming to the farm.

– When I saw it I thought this might be a problem, says Thoresen about Riise.

Riise and Thoresen had never met before or after the 2005 incident.

– For me it was a small matter a long time ago, but since we were potentially going to be together for a long time in a small place, I just wanted to get rid of it and cut it right away, says Thoresen.

Thoresen says he had a chat with Riise in the kitchen when the cameras were not present.

– I said I owe you an apology, although it was not my intention. He accepted that, we also held hands that it’s over.

But according to Thoresen, Riise hadn’t left him behind.

– He was not willing to leave it behind, and he was aggressive with me. He didn’t dare confront me about why he was aggressive. He was alone, and he went behind my back and spoke.

Al aggressively, Thoresen says he believes Riise engaged in yelling without warning.

– Why don’t you mean the apology?

– I have no regrets, and I would do the same again, says Thoresen.

Riise confirms through her manager Erland Bakke that Thoresen recorded the 2005 incident at the farm.

– John Arne can confirm that Espen took it, not as an apology, but rather to remind John Arne that it was Espen who did it. Precisely to create drama on “The Farm,” says Bakke.

And what Thoresen thinks was an excuse, Riise did not perceive as sincere.

– I tried it with Espen, but I experience that he is a comedian who intimidates to make others laugh, without much success, says Riise.

He felt he was trying to provoke

Riise has been introduced to what Thoresen says about him in this article and, for her part, believes that it was Thoresen who was engaged in murmuring.

– I found it difficult to like the people who hung me in front of thousands of people and asked them to send me text messages that hurt and intimidated me, he says.

Riise says she felt Thoresen was trying to provoke him.

– He wants to fight as much as possible to get attention, he says.

Riise himself had killed the case a long time ago.

– Many years have passed since the case of SMS. VG and Linnéa Myhre had a good time through this case a few months ago and believe that those who have heard this episode have a different image of this case today.

– How is your relationship today?

– It is not surprising that not everyone becomes equally good friends, and today I have an indifferent relationship with him. I don’t want him to hurt her, and I don’t think about it so much, says Thoresen, adding:

– It’s a trifle to me today.
