While good temperatures and sunshine have been reported in western Norway, eastern Norway faces milder days.

– There will be good weather this weekend, says Marianne Skolem Andersen, meteorologist on duty at Værvarslinga in western Norway.

While the weather on Saturday will be quite pleasant both in Bergen and in the outdoor areas, it will be even better towards the end of the weekend.

– It can blow a little across the coast now on Saturday. It’s north and northeast wind, and then the wind can carry a bit inland, Andersen says.

Along the coast south of Stad it will rise in a small gale, while at Stad it may erupt in a small storm.

Up to 20 degrees

Although there will be occasional clouds and rainfall, most of the time it will be very good on both Sunday and Monday.

– Looks like we’ll be fine and hot. It can go up to 20 degrees, says the meteorologist.

But I can’t promise to stay 100 percent all the time, he adds.

Over the next week, however, there will be more weather changes.

– We have the opportunity to enjoy the first days that look beautiful, says the meteorologist.

Bad weather in eastern Norway

While Westerners have good days ahead of them, Easterners should cover themselves with a rain shower.

– Especially the night before Saturday and the first part of Sunday, they receive a lot of precipitation. A hazard warning has been sent that there may be a lot of rainfall and heavy gusts locally, Andersen says.

In the next few days, there will be rainfall and snow in the mountains throughout southern Norway.

The snow will arrive somewhere between 700 and 900 meters above sea level, he adds.

– But the precipitation will come mainly on the east side of the mountain, says the meteorologist.
