Apple has sent invitations for its launch on Tuesday, October 13. It doesn’t say it’s the company’s next iPhone to be unveiled, but it would be a huge shock if that wasn’t the case.
It’s been about a month since Apple launched its previous product. Then it was the Apple Watch Series 6 and two new iPads that were on the agenda. In a normal year, new iPhone models would also be shown here, but in July, Apple announced that this year’s mobile launch would take place a few weeks later.
New iPhone design
Rumors about the iPhone 12 have been around for a long time and they are many. A completely new design with straight edges and 5G support is expected. Apple’s invite also says “Hi, speed,” which is interpreted as a sign that faster mobile browsing will be among the new.
But the new iPhone models will also be equipped with Apple’s new ultra-fast A14 Bionic chip, which is the first mobile processor on sale based on a 5-nanometer production process.
According to 9to5Mac, the iPhone 12 is expected to come in four different versions:
- a 5.4-inch iPhone 12
- and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max
- and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro
- and a 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The big difference between the normal version and the Pro models will be the camera configuration: dual camera in the first two and triple camera with a new Lidar scanner in the last two.
It may also be that the 5.4-inch is called the iPhone 12 mini, while the weaker of the 6.1-inches will only be called the iPhone 12.

Headphones, speaker and tracking chip.
Next week’s release may also include news other than the new mobiles. Apple is rumored to have several new products in the works, including new headphones, a smaller version of its HomePod smart speaker, and a follow-up chip competitor like Tile called AirTags.
In addition, there has been talk of a new Apple TV with a new command. It may be a new Siri Remote, but it has also been speculated that they will release a game controller and that they will also release an expanded version of Apple Arcade, called Arcade +.
At its developer conference in June, Apple also promised to launch its first ARM-based Mac by the end of the year.
However, Apple may save this news for November.
Apple’s launch begins as usual at 7 p.m. Norwegian time on October 13. We keep it updated, but you can follow it from the company website or on YouTube.
