Intoxicated youths sleep with beatings on ghost hunt – NRK Vestland

On a mountain ledge, 500 meters above the Lustrafjord, there is a large old brick building. In recent years, people have made the pilgrimage to Harastølen to roam the scary halls in search of ghosts.

The building was used as a treatment center for tuberculosis patients until the 1950s, but it is also useful as a reception center for asylum and psychiatric hospital. The building has been empty for several decades and the main building has fallen into disrepair in recent years.

The old sanatorium was the target, when a group of four young people made the trip through Sognefjellet and Harastølen in Luster this weekend. They passed the barricades around the area and were caught red-handed. He does not fall on good ground with the young, writes Sogn Avis.

– They were aggressive, extravagant and snooping with beatings, says one of the owners, Terje Svindland.

I came back three times

This summer it became clear that the old sanatorium will be converted into a hotel. This weekend both investor Terje Svindland and several others were ready to clear the area around and inside the building. It was volunteer workers who discovered the four young men on Sunday night and asked them to leave the city. Even with fights and threats of beatings.

Svindland was summoned and put on wheels after four. Up to three times that night, the youth gang returned.

– The day had an aggressive tone. We try to explain that we own the place. It was only when we said the police were on their way that they fled the city, says Svindland.

A high fence and a sign indicate that it is not allowed to enter the area. The bricks have fallen and the windows are broken.

Hospital beds, medical equipment, altar rings, and wheelchairs are found within the main building and bear witness to what it once was.

– It is dangerous to be inside the building. There’s a hole in the ground that they could have fallen through, says Svindland.

This summer, a famous blogger was reported to the police for breaking into the building.

14 youth

Svindland and the other owners are working on a solution that makes it impossible for people to arrive in the area at night on weekends.

– There are people every weekend. Last weekend, 14 young people gathered here, says Svindland.

The weekend’s case will now be reported to the police.

Much of the road up to Harastølen is municipal, and a barrier has previously been discussed. The Mayor of Luster, Ivar Kvalen (Spain) comes with a clear encouragement to all who cross the barriers.

– Harastølen must be allowed to be at peace. I ask people to respect the new owners. Don’t go into other people’s houses, he says.
