Several municipalities in Oslo are following the measures: Asker and Bærum are choosing a different line
Strict measures
From midnight to Tuesday, three weeks of the so-called social closure begin to overcome the development of the infection, which has increased considerably in recent times.
The ban on all indoor events, the suspension of adult grassroots sports, the closure of cinemas, theaters and gyms, as well as the cessation of drinking are some of the intrusive measures taken by the Oslo City Council on Monday .
– All these places lead to people gathering and moving around the city, says City Council Leader Raymond Johansen (Labor) at a press conference on Friday afternoon.
If one wants to be successful in limiting social activity to a minimum, it must be closed where people gather, Johansen said.
Several municipalities near Oslo have also chosen to introduce the measures or similar measures, including Lillestrøm, Nordre Follo and Drammen.
