Marius Brustad was visiting his mother Lisbeth Neraas when the landslide occurred in Gjerdrum. They have both been missed ever since.

– It’s the worst time of their lives. At the same time, they have received a lot of support from friends and those around them, family spokesperson Håkon Stavrum tells VG.

Through Stavrum, the Marius and Lisbeth families have made a joint statement:

It is an indescribably difficult and painful situation for family and friends that we are living now in connection with the landslide in Gjerdrum. Son and brother who together with their mother have unrealistically become victims of an unthinkable event for everyone. We miss a very dear, loving, and caring mother, sister, and daughter, as well as an energetic, caring, and well-loved brother. We are very close and we are well cared for by close friends. A big thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support and warm thoughts with great empathy.

Being exposed to this in your own home within a construction site shouldn’t be possible. We hope and pray for a miracle or two to happen, even if we are also realistic. At the same time, we want to thank the search teams, crisis teams, police / emergency services and the rest of the emergency services for their efforts, and we hope that they will continue until the missing are found. At the same time, we want to send warm thoughts to other family members.

We ask that the family have peace during this time and that all contact be made through the family’s contact person Håkon Stavrum.

Romerikes Blad was the first to mention the statement.

Violent insecurity

Stavrum is the best friend of Marius’s brother and says that the families are now living under violent insecurity.

– The family is very dear to all those who cross its path. The support they have experienced lately is proof of who they are as human beings.

Looking for survivors

There are still nine missing after the landslide that occurred on the night of December 30. One has been found dead. The rescue team is searching the area of the landslide Friday afternoon.

They emphasize that they are working to find survivors, not dead.

The health service manipulated the Friday afternoon capable of receiving possible survivors, through provision and mobilization. They also allow hospitals to receive.
