It was about a place in the European Championships when Norway faced Wales in Cardiff on Tuesday night. One point would secure the spot, as Belarus lost its match against Northern Ireland today. But Norway fought the Welsh defense for more than sixty minutes.

It was the Linköping player’s third goal for the Norwegian team. But after Maanum’s goal, the game changed character: Wales woke up and suddenly started playing for chances, and Norway had more than enough to try and defend themselves.
Maanum’s goal was still the only goal of the match.
– We are ready for the European Championship, but I have a feeling that we have not managed to resolve these two games against Wales. And we know the list must be higher than Wales, says Torp.
Norway also won 1-0 in the first match against Wales, and then the match was decided after a big mistake by the Welsh goalkeeper.
– When this match is going to be analyzed, I think there are quite a few drawbacks that are in Sjögren’s block. But you live off the results, and Norway goes to the European Championships, says NRK commentator Christian Nilssen.
Norway has not scored points in the European Championship qualifiers. There are still matches to go, but Tuesday’s win means Norway is guaranteed a ticket to the English championship in 2022.
