Ikea pays its employees large sums of money in October.

– All employees have put in a huge effort in the last few months and therefore it is my pleasure to say that everyone who works at Ikea will receive a bonus equal to a monthly salary or more on the next paycheck, explains Clare Rodgers, CEO of Ikea Norway. , to Nettavisen.

Around 3,000 Ikea employees can now look forward to a big bonus in the run-up to Christmas.

– I am very proud of what we have achieved in very demanding times, says Rodgers.

Since there is approximately a monthly salary, before taxes, employees are paid, therefore, the amount each individual receives will vary, depending on the salary they have, informs Nettavisen the press officer of Ikea.

The amount of bonus they get will vary from one department store to another. Stavanger Aftenblad writes that Ikea Forus employees receive 120 percent of the monthly salary.

Last year, all employees received a bonus corresponding to 113 percent of the monthly salary, which was equal to about 40,000. This year, the bonus is a little less. This means that Ikea employees can apparently expect a bonus of around NOK 36,000 on average if a small salary increase is assumed. In total, Ikea paid NOK 120 million to about 3,000 employees in 2019.

It has not been calculated how much Ikea Norway pays in bonuses in total this year, the press guard reported to Nettavisen.

However, to receive the bonus, employees must meet certain criteria, including having worked for Ikea for at least six months.

The payment will come on the salary at the end of October.
