OSLO DISTRICT COURT (VG) The prosecutor believes that Laila Bertheussen has shown willingness to take risks because she allegedly broke the quarantine on a trip to Sweden in August. – I have antibodies to covid-19, Bertheussen said in court on Wednesday.

– Yesterday I heard that I have repeatedly broken the quarantine and that I am willing to take risks. As you now know, I have antibodies to covid-19, and this fits into a pattern where the Attorney General does not listen to what I have to say. It doesn’t fit his narrative about me, said a witty but annoying Laila Bertheussen in room 250 on Wednesday morning.

He says he reacts strongly to the statements made by prosecutor Frederik G. Ranke after the shift yesterday.

In court on Tuesday, relatively extensive evidence was presented about Bertheussen’s travels, both to Spain and Sweden.

Ranke was subsequently interviewed on VG and various other outlets, where he claimed that the prosecution notified the district superintendent after discovering that Bertheussen had not been quarantined in connection with various trips to Sweden and a trip to Spain.

Now Bertheussen, for his part, says that he has already been subjected to covid-19, so he feels exempt from the quarantine obligation when traveling.

However, this does not hold up, according to government information. He says:

“If you can document that you have been subjected to COVID-19 in the last six months, the rules on entry quarantine and infection quarantine do not apply to you. You are required to be able to present proof that you were sick, which they did. when you were sick. The positive test must be at least 4 weeks old. A test after you were sick that can document that you have been sick is not enough. For example, so-called antibody tests are not enough. “

– I can also say a little more about this, when I got the covid-19. I have taken seven antibiotics, I think we had covid-19 at the end of February / March. This certificate is from June, therefore it is in English.

– I did not understand the point

Defense attorney John Christian Elden said before Wednesday’s witness appeared that they believe they were “shocked” during the end of the day yesterday.

– We had evidence from the prosecution that Bertheussen had traveled in and out of Norway. We didn’t understand where the point was until we walked out of the courtroom, where the prosecution says the reason they have shown this is that she has broken quarantine rules, she says.

The fire reads on a certificate that says Bertheussen has been diagnosed with antibodies to the coronavirus. You can be exempt from the quarantine obligation for six months if you can prove that you have had COVID-19.

– This became the main message yesterday in various places, rather than proof of alibi or no alibi, says Elden.

Defender Elden did not mention anything about antibodies or suffered from covid 19 disease when asked about Bertheussen’s quarantine violation yesterday. He then stated, among other things, this to VG:

– It is curious that the prosecution now makes this case a matter of quarantine rules instead of attacks on democracy. But it is good that he traveled with such good tracking that the PST gives him an irrefutable alibi for at least three of the emails in this case.
