Murder victim advocate Tom Hagen (70) responds that police say they believe the couple’s home is the scene of a murder, 18 months after the disappearance.
Before the weekend, Tom Hagen was released, but he is still charged with murder or complicity in the murder of his wife Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, who has been missing since October 31, 2018.
He rejects the criminal charges and has been aware that it has nothing to do with the disappearance of his wife. A man in his 30s is accused of contributing to serious custody. He also denies the criminal charges and calls the charges “absurd.” The man has run an IT company and is concerned about cryptocurrency.

After the two suspects were released, police came out Sunday and said they still believe the Hagen couple’s home is the scene of a murder. In other words, they believe that Anne-Elisabeth Hagen never left the house alive.
That makes Tom Hagen’s defender Svein Holden respond.
– For a year and six months, the police have been unable to say anything about where a possible murder has occurred. In short, I don’t understand what has changed lately, meaning the police believe they have evidence-based coverage for such an accusation, he tells VG and continues:
– It is also inconsistent. The other defendant in the case is charged with kidnapping. Anne-Elisabeth Hagen cannot be killed on the spot and kidnapped alive from Sloraveien.

In addition, he believes that the police have no evidence that the scene is a murder scene.
– In my opinion, the police have no evidence to establish that she was murdered before being transported out the door in Sloraveien. It is at least as likely that a possible murder would occur after she was removed from the residence, Holden said.

He believes that the police have a fundamental problem in the case, which now leaves them with a case, where there is no longer a reasonable reason to suspect that Tom Hagen is killed. These two of the three Eidsivating Court of Appeal judges were also considered, resulting in the release.
– Tom Hagen is not in Sloraveien when there are reasons to suppose that Anne-Elisabeth Hagen was eliminated, Holden says.

Police headaches: More holes in the timeline
Police have been restricted with information on why they believe the home is the scene of a murder. In Sunday’s press release, they indicated that several investigative steps remain, and that continued access to the house and other properties is therefore critical to the investigation.
However, in September last year, VG wrote that investigators had found technical clues that led police to the theory that she was killed on October 31, and that one or more unknown perpetrators removed her from the home.
They declined to comment on what clues might indicate that she may have been killed in the home.
