Ten people remain missing after the landslide in Gjerdrum. Irene Ruud Gundersen is one of them.
Gundersen and the man lived in one of the houses taken over by the landslide that occurred more than 40 hours ago.
His daughter, Nina Christine Gundersen, writes in a Facebook post that her sister and father left the house, are slightly injured and in hospital.
But the mother did not come out.
– This is completely unreal. I cross everything I have that mom finds, she writes.
VG received permission from the daughter and family to reproduce the post, which was first mentioned by Dagbladet.
Police are looking for more in the avalanche area tonight. A search was conducted in the landslide zone itself on Thursday afternoon, but no new finds were made.
– We are continuing the rescue operation with all our strength and are continuing to search for survivors, said Operations Manager Roger Pettersen.
No one was found dead. Ten people are missing: women, men and children. Ten are also injured, one of them seriously.
The edges of landslides are unstable. So far, nine buildings with 31 homes have been taken. The landslide was south of central Ask, on the left side of National Highway 120. The landslide area is estimated to be around 300 meters wide and 700 meters long.
