Homes taken by landslides: it is not known if people were taken

Nordland police report that there has been a mix of mudslides and clay at Mosjøen in Nordland.

– The avalanche is estimated at 150 meters wide and 450 meters long. A house or vacation home has been removed from the collapse. He is working full time and spending money on resources, says operations manager Mads Bernhoft in the Nordland police district.

All emergency services, Seaking, ambulance helicopters and volunteers are called.

“It is not clear if the landslide has led to people,” says the operations manager, who says the emergency services are working hard to get an overview.

– There are car tracks in the landslide, Ørjan Delebekk, rescue manager at the main rescue center, tells TV 2.

Police are now working to evacuate up to ten homes in the area. It is currently unclear whether there is a danger of further landslides.

– We are working to gain the expertise of geologists, who will be able to assess whether there is a danger of further landslides, says Bernhoft.
