Police received a notification of the somewhat special incident shortly after 12 o’clock on Sunday.

The man heard creaking sounds, saw that the walls were bulging, and was afraid the house would collapse. The building’s failure is due to renovation work on an apartment. He has come across some support structures that keep the house running, operations manager Trond Volden in the Trøndelag police district tells NTB.

The house can collapse at any moment, according to Volden. No people are injured and the police will provide accommodation for the evacuees.

– I had been doing renovation work for more than 30 years and had never seen anything like it. So here you probably had a bit of bad luck, says Volden.

Police task chief Ketil Stene tells Adresseavisen that they were also at the scene last week.

– Then it didn’t look like that, and the damage was more inside. When we got here today, it was decided that neighbors living next door was not justifiable, Stene says.
