Hollywood profiles Reynolds and McElhenney want to buy a British football club

The club confirms that the members have voted in favor of a possible acquisition.

The tabloid Daily Star reports that the two Hollywood profiles have plans to buy Wrexham, which ranks in the fifth tier of the English league system.

The Wrexham AFC also confirms on its website that 97.5 per cent of the club’s members have voted in favor of the two stars buying the Welsh club.

It is currently only a matter of interest to Reynolds and McElhenney, but if the deal becomes a reality, it will be quite sensational.

The next step will be for the two potential buyers to present their vision for the club and a proposal that the members will vote on at a new general meeting.

Of the duo, Reynolds is perhaps the most famous. He has had success with the Deadpool movies in recent years and has long been a huge star in Hollywood.

Reynolds’ relationship with Blake Lively has also made him a very attractive man for the gossip press in movie town.

McElhenney is one of the creators and actors of the very popular series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” The commissioner, who also has the likes of Danny DeVito, Kaitlin OLsen and Charlie Day in the cast, is in his 15th season.

As for Wrexham, the club was founded in 1864 and is therefore 155 years old. The club plays its home games at the Racecourse Ground in the town of Wrexham in Wales.

Former Hull City player Dean Keates is the coach there now.

The club disappeared from the professional league system in 2008 and has since played in the so-called conference divisions of the English league system.
